Lawrence Klusa is the Founder of SEGES MARKETS Inc. He has over 45 years experience in the Agriculture Industry.  Previous to SEGES MARKETS, Lawrence was the Operations Manager for Agri-Trend/Trimble Grain Marketing Group and a Senior Grain Market Coach which included managing their crop recommendations.  

Lawrence has eighteen years of experience in the grain industry, mostly as a Commodity Futures Trader and Quality Control Manager. Lawrence has spent nearly 20 years working as an Ag-Business Consultant.  Lawrence grew up Farming in Saskatchewan.  He  spent several years living and consulting in Alberta and has lived in Manitoba since 1994.

Lawrence has broad international agriculture industry knowledge combined with hands-on expertise with specific insight into farm operations, crop production, grain transportation and crop laboratory services. 

Lawrence has an extensive understanding of agricultural trade, commodity markets and pricing including futures and options trading.   

Lawrence is a Professional Agrologist, has an MBA from the University of Calgary, as well as Agriculture and Commerce degrees from the University of Saskatchewan.   

Jason Skinner has over 40 years experience in the Agriculture Industry. Previous to joining SEGES MARKETS Jason spent 27 years as CEO of a farmer-owned grain company. He oversaw operations, grain buying and grain marketing with a staff of 50 employees. 

Jason also served for 12 years on the board of a large farm financial banking organization. Jason’s family has been involved in crop research and agricultural input businesses for many years. 

Prior to managing the grain company, Jason spent several years in the grain trade as a policy analyst and marketing manager.  Jason was responsible for grain sales into the Asia Pacific Region including China, Japan, India and Indonesia. Jason grew up on a farm in western Saskatchewan where his parents still farm today. 

Jason has extensive experience in farm operations, grain buying and grain marketing with a deep understanding of both the domestic and international grain trade. 

Jason has both Bachelor ’s and Master’s degree from the University of Saskatchewan.  He currently resides in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
